OSA PROFILE OSA is a professional corporation, providing creative design and engineering services since 1963. Our specialty areas include theme park venues, theaters, motion mechanisms, movable structures and new product development. Time has proven the reliability of our early projects which include such landmarks as the JFK Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. and Lincoln Center theaters in New York City. One of OSA's first projects for theme parks was the GE Carousel for Progress for the New York World's Fair. It was later moved to Disneyland, recently modified in appearance and is still in operation. The new projects include major theme park attractions, transportation related systems and state of the art theaters, such as the Hotel Bellagio showroom performance equipment in Las Vegas. OSA practices creative, often first-of-a-kind, design and engineering characterized by "get it right, up front, the first time." This approach identifies and resolves the design issues in early phases of the project. Mistakes in the basics, if not discovered, would become extremely costly to correct later and ultimately the system performance would suffer. For most first-of-a-kind projects, the owners' needs are well served when detailed designs are prepared and thoroughly documented before awarding the construction contract. This is cost effective because true competitive prices can be obtained for construction, based on clearly defined requirements. OSA's clients are encouraged to participate in design/development process as partners in seeking the best value for money invested. There are, however, other projects which can benefit from specific previous experience, standards and manufacturing methods. For these we can offer the design/build options.
